Hello and welcome to Adventures in Academia, the monthly podcast for older-than-average university students. I'm your host, Kristie Bradfield.
I began a double major in Psychology and Criminology in 2015 and I’m one semester away from graduating. I know how hard it is to balance coursework, assignments, family life, work, and the many other grown up obligations we have. I want to help you avoid some of the mistakes I made and hopefully make your journey a little bit smoother.
Every month, I’ll share tips and tricks on everything from time management to study strategies to self-care. I’ll give you some insight into the what it’s like studying as an older student and what you can expect as you progress through your degree. I’ll share what has worked for me as an online student and how I’ve kept up the momentum to make it to the finish line. And because I’m a bit of a research nerd, I’ll also be sharing some interesting Psychology and Criminology research in my regular Journal Club segments. I hope you consider reading along.
So whether you’re an online student, an older-than-average student that has already started your degree or you’re considering applying to uni for the first time after a bit of a break from school, this podcast is for you. Thanks for joining me on this adventure - I’ll see you in two weeks for episode 1.
